Letter from 03/15/2010

Hey YALL,

hello everyone, well this week was just great. i had a ton of fun. it passed by so quick. we had another great week. we have this one 13 year old kid who wants to be baptized, his grandma and grandpa were just baptized and he wants to be, but we just havent gotten the ok from the mom. sux pretty bad. we have taught him everything more than once and he has the sacrament attendance. just a waiting game right now. we have another guy right now, he is 70 years old and he is pretty much golden as an investigator. he reads a ton outa the book of mormon and out of the gospel princilples book. he loves going to church. and the best thing is that he feels like his family is kinda falling apart so he said that his goal is to get his whole family to church so they can be united and stuff. just a golden investigator, except one thing. he has a señora that he has had and lives with for the past 27 years and they are not married. suck. his name is Rodolfo. he is an awesome guy.

well winter no i have not eaten at mcdonalds or anything like that. it is so expensive. its 8 pesos for a burger and like 29 pesos for a meal. that is just so expensive. same thing with the BK Lounge. those are the only two that i have seen here. so i might not eat at them ever. but i did have a burger this morning. we got it from a street vendor person. it was pretty legit. ok so the ice cream here is pretty legit. they have so many flavors that they dont have in the states. crema del cielo, dulce de leche, mantecol. just tons of good stuff. again i had a lot of milanesa this week. hahahaha.

ummmmmmm. i bought a tie today cuz i needed one hard core, i bought an umbrella, and an argentina team jersey. all pretty legit.


i want to tell you all what the city is like but it is hard to explain. there is trash everywhere. that is just what they do here. everyone just throws their trash out in the street. some burn it in the street. its just a filthy place. trash just everywhere.


winter i almost pee´d my pants i was laughing so hard. hahahahaha chance. hahahahahaha. has he never made a PB&J before. hahaahahaha. well i am happy to hear that your baby is doin good. the whole mold thingy is just nasty. just nasty. i hate stuff like that.


so is winter´s belly huge? mom mat will be calling you for some information. mats a stud and sounds like he is doing great.


oh ya i almost forgot. i had to give a talk in sacrament meeting yesterday. a 20 min talk. holy cow. i did it on the book of mormon. it was tough. i wrote the whole thing and just read it. yikes. but the first one is outa the way. i know how well i did on it cuz afterwards the bishop came up to me and said that i did a good job and then he asked "it was on the book of mormon right?" ahahahaha. thats how good i did on it. oh well.

oh ya one more thing. two days ago i had my first breast feeding experience. we were asking this guy if his wife was there and when we said that his daughter comes out in this bra, tells us that her mom isnt there, her dad hands her a baby. she lifts up her bra and gives her baby suck. yuck. just nasty. i saw her go for her bra and so i looked away, but elder klein still had to talk to her so he had to keep looking. that is just how the culture is here. just filthy nasty stuff. well i am outa time. miss you all
